He was not busy better of that to use the computer.
He didn't know if he had to laugh or if he had to cry. This happened to him, as a result natural to the state in which he was found.
Then he tried to understand his situation.
He fell asleep while he was writing an email. To him it didn't happen to fall asleep an only time. To him it happened more times during the same email. When he woke up, the email contained characters repeated subsequently.
At the end he didn't laugh at himself, neither he didn't cry. He decided to turn off the computer.
But he didn't go to sleep.
He would have slept only if he had continued to use his computer.
