Reconversion

A plan of cultural reconversion.

Monday, January 1, 2007, at 7.47, I turn on the computer. The first turning on in the new year.
Observing the homepage of my site malaguti.org, I have thought about the dialect friulano, that rises for law to the rank of language recognized of minority.

Which sense have a law emanated for recognizing a language of minority by a country rich in dialects?

People seek to achieve prerogatives, exclusiveness, economic and juridical advantages. Surely the new law won't preserve that language from its natural evolution, that involves the integration with words of great use, but of origin from other more diffused languages.
I have spoken dialect, up to attainment of the school age.
Also today constantly I speak and listen my dialect. And however I read and I write in the national language, or in a second language.

Nothing prevents me from writing in dialect, or to read the dialect.
It will be probable that I won't know whether to use dialect words in writing, and equally I will meet difficulty to read a writing in dialect.
I am certain to discover that the dialect that I use is used by few other people. Very more of a language, the dialect is used by a limited number of people, with the consequence that the people change and the dialect manifests it own limitations.
A dialect has a very limited influence. Over the narrow number that represents a small community of people, the dialect assumes differences.
More I limit the number of the people that can understand me, or that I can understand, and more I limit my liberty, understood in the amplest meaning.

To give a different meaning to the word among who from uses it and who listens to it, is occasion until too much frequent.
It is not infrequent in the distant relationships, because it is frequent in the most intimate relationships.
As to tell the relationships in which one supposes that the same language or the same dialect are used.
And despite this difficult situation, we persist to use the dialect or the national language, or we resort to the shortcut of an auxiliary, or artificial language.

In every historical epoch people used a language that has had great influence in a vast territory.
This is a spontaneous effect among the common people. And if it depended only on the common people in few decades an only language it would be used, the language that would naturally be imposed.

Reflections in one grey morning, without sun, without people. One morning that if one was able he should change it.
You must consider that today it is the first day of the new year. An occasion to propose some objectives to us.

I propose to myself to reconvert me to the use of the English language.

I am conscious of my limits of departure, yet I believe whether to try constitutes an useful exercise for me.
The street of the to learn passes among many obstacles and it is destined to improve during the journey.

Please, absolve my use of all languages. They are not real language, they are rather Europanto!

Please, don't write me about my mistakes. They amuse me! They are the right of expression without to study the structure of a language. Never grammar, only practice.
